Atalanta coach Ivan Juric has left Nigeria international Ademola Lookman out of his squad for the fourth straight match, excluding him from Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League opener against Paris Saint-Germain.

The winger has not featured since the end of last season, with his absence linked to a failed summer transfer. Juric has made it clear he will not “beg anyone to play,” while Atalanta director Luca Percassi backed the stance, stressing discipline and commitment over talent.

Atalanta rejected summer offers below their €50m valuation, leaving Lookman stuck in Bergamo until at least January despite interest from Inter Milan, Fenerbahce, and Galatasaray.

His exclusion comes amid injury absences of Ederson, Scamacca, Kolašinac, and Bakker, though Atalanta head to Paris buoyed by a 4-1 Serie A win over Lecce.

Lookman, who impressed for Nigeria during the recent international break, now faces an uncertain future as he remains frozen out of Atalanta’s plans.
